The Collaborative Advanced Robotics and Intelligent Systems Laboratory is an undertaking by researchers at the University of British Columbia interested in Human-Robot interaction and intelligent robotics.

Our Research Theme

Research and development of novel methods for industrial and assistive robotics applications aimed at bringing safe, friendly, and effective robot assistance into our daily lives.

Lab Infrastructure

Our research platfoms include two 6-axis and one 5-axis human-scale robotic arms, novel compliant robotic devices utilizing McKibbon (air muscle) actuators, mobile robots, vision systems, and physiological sensor systems.

Our Lab

is located in the Institute for Computing, Information and Cognitive Systems (ICICS) in beautiful Vancouver, BC Canada
